About the Toyota Hilux 4WD Club of Victoria:

You may be interested in learning about your truck and "coming bush" with other members of our club. We are a small, but growing 4WD club and welcome new members.

The advantages of joining our club are many. They include meeting new people with similar interests to you and making new friends. One great advantage to new members is that they learn important skills in the company of experienced four wheel drivers.

At least one or more members with mechanical and/or technical skills are always happy to give advice.

The name of our club may be a little misleading, but you do not need a Hilux to join. About 50% of our members own other types of 4 Wheel Drive trucks - whatever you drive, you will be welcome to join and you will be assured of good fun and enjoyment.

The Clubs most important events are the trips away. These vary in difficulty and type of terrain and range from day and weekend sojourns to the occasional longer trip.

These trips are led by experienced drivers who can advise you on correct driving techniques. You will also learn the proper recovery methods in the event of a mishap (such as getting stuck).

The club also holds social functions.

The cost of joining the club consists of an annual fee of $60 membership fee plus a $10 initial joining fee. Potential new members are encouraged to come on a few trips before joining so that they can get to know what the club is about and the club gets to know them. Family and friends are most welcome to attend our activities, so feel free to bring them along.

The Hilux Club hold our meetings on the third Wednesday of each month (except December) at Father Flanagans Irish Pub, 484 Smith St Collingwood (cnr Alexandra Pde & Smith St) at 8pm.
