totally irrelevant to the hilux club Xmas trip………..but have no other place to post news , so here goes.
I heard a rumour today from someone listening to 3AW radio, the Terminus Hotel, surprise surprise, won the Hotel of the 2010 – for food and drinks
maybe they changed the menu after we stopped going!

as there is no general business section and no way that any one can start up a topic of dicussion, i will just add something to the rumour file from this topic even though its totally irrelevant to xmas trip………..
a rumour that i have just picked up on is that a certain black coloured GQ SWB is no longer, it drove off the track and down a hill going “i can see bush, bush, sky, bush, bush sky, bush, bush, sky, bush, bush. this happened in the otways and is now headed for the scrap metal pile.OUCH!
driver and passengers are all OK, shaken but not stirred!
Broken vehicle award is heading to one of our newest and youngest members
Wow! That is a hell of a rumour Matty! You tellin me there is purple pin stripes down the trees in the Otways! As long as the driver and passengers walked away, a car can be replaced……but not with the character of that shorty……a few tears Matty?
yep tears…………i am shattered but not as much as the owner and family!
every time i see a shorty on the road i reminice about the joy that car brought to me, and sometimes think to myself that maybe i should have kept it…anyway hindsight solves no problems…….i still love the GU wagon way more!

Its time to head back to Churchill for a run boys!
The Churchill Pub is Reopening after 4 years of it being closed, last drinks served were August 2006.
The town has been very quiet with the pub being closed, and then they had the fires but I rekon it will be ready for us to hit the hills and for us to inject some tourism back into the local area.
This is a trip to put back on the calendar for 2011 winter!
Not sure I can punch the 80 thru Churchill Matty……the heartache of a wrinkled sill from Christmas trip is still lingering.
But I could sit in the passenger seat and listen to 4 inch thunder………….
A dinted sill……….try having a door that doesnt close properly, the big test will be the first deep river crossing, it has never let 1 drop of water in ever before, we shall see from now on!

Thats the spirit Simon! I could easily encourage you to bounce off the trees…..would make getting the stickers off the door panels real easy!

Dented sills and dodgy closing doors are but minor concerns…The Pup has NO AIR CONDITIONING!
